The Secret to Deliciousness

The greatest appeal of pork lies in the deliciousness of its fat, and Sasuke Pork is a breed meticulously developed with a focus on this very fat. Its most distinctive characteristic is its low melting point.
Because the temperature at which the fat melts is 2-3°C lower than that of conventional pork, the fat melts in your mouth, making its sweetness more pronounced.
Due to this characteristic, it does not harden easily even when cooled, and the fat does not linger in the mouth. This means that even after cooking and cooling, the meat remains delicious.

No porky odor
Since Kuji Farm became a specialized producer in 1970, we have raised various breeds of pigs, experimenting with crossbreeding and feed formulations. We have tried every possible combination.
After 20 years of trial and error, we finally discovered a crossbreed that we were convinced was the most delicious, and thus Sasuke Pork was born.
Red meat rich in umami. Meltingly tender fat. And a meat quality with virtually no odor. The simpler the dish, the more its deliciousness is enhanced.

Delivered in Optimal Condition
While the ease with which this fat melts and the tenderness of the meat are the charms of Sasuke Pork, they also make it difficult to process into thin slices, and consequently, mass production and sales are challenging.
However, by processing everything, including these difficult steps, in-house and selling directly, we are able to deliver the appeal of Sasuke Pork in its optimal state.
Our Commitment to 'Non-Frozen'
Much of the meat sold in supermarkets is processed at its origin, then frozen before being sent to supermarkets, where it is thawed and prepared for sale. This is known as the 'one-frozen' method.
However, freezing meat causes its fibers to break down, leading to drip (the red liquid released upon thawing) that carries away umami and flows out. This results in dry, unappetizing meat, halving its original deliciousness.
At Kuji Farm, to ensure that our carefully raised Sasuke Pork can be enjoyed at its absolute best, we are committed to the 'non-frozen' method, delivering it fresh without ever freezing it until it reaches our customers.
Meat that has never been frozen retains its elasticity as the fibers remain intact, locking in the umami. The difference in taste is remarkable. We sincerely hope you will try it.
